Gold Cardinal Tetras offer a lighter interpretation of the familiar Cardinal Tetra. Their pale body colour brings a different effect to a planted display, especially when a group moves together against wood, shaded planting and a darker background.
This listing is for the Gold variety of Paracheirodon axelrodi. The Gold trade name does not make every individual identical in pigment or eye colour. Give them the stable, warm aquarium and group companionship appropriate for Cardinal Tetras.

A Softer Colour Palette for a School
Keep a proper group. Plan for at least six fish, with a larger school where space allows. Single fish and small packs are useful for adding to an existing group, not as a complete social setup.Warm, stable water comes first. Use a mature aquarium and avoid abrupt temperature or chemistry changes. Soft to moderately soft water suits this species.Balance planting and open space.
