Dragon Wood earns its name immediately — jagged ridges, contorted branches, and wild root-like forms that bring genuine sculptural drama to any aquascape. Each piece is unique, shaped by nature into something that looks far more intentional than it has any right to. It darkens beautifully underwater, develops rich biofilm surfaces that Neocaridina and Caridina shrimp graze on naturally, and pairs exceptionally well with epiphytes like Anubias, Bucephalandra, and mosses — all of which grip its textured bark with ease.
Use super glue gel to attach Bucephalandra, Java Moss, or Anubias directly to the textured bark — Dragon Wood grips roots beautifully and creates an aged, established look right away without waiting weeks for natural attachment.
Every piece of Dragon Wood is unique in size, branching character, and overall form. If you have a specific preference -- a wider spread, a more upright piece, a particular size range, heavier or lighter branching, or anything else -- leave a note at checkout and we will do our best to select a piece that matches your needs from current stock. We cannot guarantee an exact match, but we read every note and pull accordingly.
Dragon Wood pairs beautifully with mosses, Anubias, and Bucephalandra. Browse our Aquatic Plants collection to find the perfect match.
