What to Expect with Color

Fire Red Cherry Shrimp are bred for a consistent bright and opaque red coloration that fully covers the body. Unlike lower red grades that may show translucency or mottling Fire Reds typically display even saturation along the carapace legs and tail. In strong lighting their red tone can appear vivid and glossy especially against dark aquascape layouts.

Males may show slightly less color density due to naturally slimmer bodies while females commonly display richer coverage and a broader look. Juveniles begin lighter and gradually deepen through successive molts as long as nutrition and water stability remain strong. This line is considered a reliable red morph with a good track record of holding color across generations.

General Care Behavior and Tank Conditions

To support color vibrancy provide a nutrient varied diet including shrimp specific foods spirulina enriched pellets and occasional blanched vegetables. Peaceful tankmates and a mature well cycled tank encourage confident behavior regular breeding and natural colony growth.

They all arrived alive

They all arrived alive, despite it bring winter in Wisconsin. The color is absolutely phenomenal! Much better shrimp than what I could find locally at any of the chain pet stores!

Good quality, shipping took some time

This is my third order and all my other orders came by Wednesday at the latest, this order however didn’t arrive until Friday afternoon(which I was disappointed by because by car we are not even 6 hours apart); making for a 4 days of travel for my shrimp. By the time they arrived the heat pack was no longer effective, luckily the weather was mild. I lost one immediately after acclimating but the rest are beautiful and seem to have adjusted well. That being said I was grateful for the bonus one to mitigate the loss. I specifically choose a place that was rather local to me for shipping purposes but I have heard that there have been some big changes within the usps system recently affecting how long things take so I’m thinking that’s the reason it took so long to receive my shrimp.
