*All seemed to be in pretty good shape when unboxed! Got about 11 larger ones alongside a bunch of little rice grain babies—very cute!*
Main concerns here was that the bag they came in didn’t seem to be sealed super well I think, and it was a bit deflated. Additionally, the ice pack they came with seemed to be double-wrapped in what seemed to be insulating bags—not totally sure if that’s what they were, but the box wasn’t very cool… might’ve needed another ice pack. Either way, I don’t think either of those very minor details caused any real issues.
Unfortunately, all of them have seemingly died within the about 5 hours they’ve been in the tank. I do not believe this was an issue on Superior Shrimp’s side at all—the shrimp came in looking fine—but I figured I’d share the news. I will be getting thorough chemical tests for things like copper, and hopefully ordering more shrimp from here someday once I resolve possible issues.
