1 Never bury the rhizome — the horizontal stem must remain fully above the substrate at all times. Burial causes rot that spreads through the plant rapidly. Attach to hardscape or rest on the substrate surface with the rhizome fully exposed at all times.

2 Attach to driftwood or stone with open space in front — secure the rhizome to driftwood or porous rock with thread or super glue gel, and position with open water in front of the leaves. The undulating leaf form and any movement from water current need unobstructed space to read clearly — crowding 'Broad Wavy' against other plants or tight hardscape diminishes the flowing quality that makes this cultivar worth choosing.

3 Place in or near gentle water flow if possible — 'Broad Wavy' benefits more from gentle water movement than any other Buce cultivar. Positioning it where the current from a filter outlet or circulation pump passes lightly across the leaves brings out the flowing, dynamic quality that makes this plant distinctive. Avoid strong direct flow that batters the leaves — gentle ambient movement is ideal.

4 Dose liquid fertilizer consistently — as an epiphyte, 'Broad Wavy' draws all nutrition through its leaves from the water column.
