This master of camouflage is Caridina serratirostris, a rarely seen but wildly fascinating species native to parts of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Unlike your flashy Neocaridina or crystal-clear Amanos, Ninja Shrimp don’t seek attention. They slink, blend, and sneak, scavenging silently through biofilm and leaf litter like aquatic specters. Best kept in peaceful setups with botanicals, moss, and driftwood to mimic their natural environment.
